Nature-based Beekeeping

Nature-based Beekeeping
Nature Based Beekeeping (NBBK) is committed to promoting a different type of beekeeping, where beekeepers strive for a true partnership with their bees. NBBK aims to pick up where the magazine Natural Beekeeping Husbandry – The International Journal for Bee-Centred Beekeeping left off about a year ago.
We aim to serve those beekeepers all over the world who are interested in sharing information and insights into how to attain a true partnership with their bees. Because our team comes from different parts the globe, NBBK aims to have a truly international focus. Furthermore, NBBK is not limited to discussions around the Apis genus – we will cover stingless bees and other pollinators.
Hence NBBK is of special interest for beekeepers:
- Who remain curious about the honeybees and other pollinators AND their environment;
- Have moved away from keeping colonies in conventional ways;
- Prefer to keep bees in hives more suited to the bees’ needs;
- Allow the bees to live life with minimal interference.
- Strive to create an environment which gives some year-round forage to all pollinators.
