He also gardens and makes cider from his little orchard. He is married, with two grown up children, a daughter who now teaches Yoga and keeps chickens, and a son who owns an orchard in Wales and sells cider and apple trees. He is a member of the Somerset branch of the British Beekeeping Association and lives in Brewham.
